Rohan Mehta is a progressive education leader and institution builder who has been instrumental in shaping the growth, direction, and academic vision of the Sumitra Group of Schools since 2014. As Director, he plays a pivotal role in driving institutional strategy, seamlessly integrating Academic Planning, Communication Strategy, and Business Development to foster sustainable excellence and organisational advancement.
An alumnus of La Martiniere College, Lucknow, Rohan pursued his degree in Business Administration from Amity University, Noida, establishing a strong academic grounding in management and leadership. His early professional journey provided valuable corporate exposure through his role as a Risk Consultant at KPMG India, complemented by internships at Union Bank of India and HDFC Mutual Funds. Demonstrating a deep commitment to continuous professional growth, he further undertook advanced executive learning at ISB Hyderabad to enhance his leadership capabilities and strategic perspective.
Guided by an entrepreneurial mindset and a long-term vision for impact, Rohan consciously transitioned from the corporate sector to the field of education, driven by a desire not merely to manage institutions but to meaningfully transform learning environments. His extensive experience within academic ecosystems reinforced a powerful conviction: that true societal progress begins with nurturing confident, capable, and independent-thinking young minds.
A firm advocate of structured and purpose-driven early childhood education, Rohan strongly believes that the Montessori philosophy offers a powerful framework for lifelong learning. His educational outlook emphasises discipline, curiosity, self-discovery, and experiential engagement as essential pillars for preparing children not just for school, but for life.
